I have acne, not really badly but i always have at least one pimple and lots of blackheads. what should i use?

nothing ever seems to make it better; it just irritates my face and makes it all red and shiny.I have acne, not really badly but i always have at least one pimple and lots of blackheads. what should i use?
Wash your face with a product that doesn't have soap as it usually irritates your skin. I often read here that you should wash your face more than twice a day, but doesn't this irritate your skin?

Anyway. To remove blackheads (I'm too lazy to do it but my sister does it and it really works):

1/ clean your face.

2/ do a peeling.

3/ Then, put your face above a saucepan full of hot water (you're supposed to put some herbs in the water that helps your pores to open but I can't remember which ones. But I'm sure it works without them). Stay like this for about 10 min. with a towel covering your head (so that vapour doesn't get out). Then, with a tissue, press the blackheads out - make sure you have clean hands even if you use a tissue. Change your tissue regularly. It's better to do it in front of a magnifying mirror, or at least, a lot of light.

4/ Then do a mask (if you do a mud mask, do a hydrating mask afterwards cos if you have oily skin, your skin will be even more oily afterwards - because your skin was too dry, your face produces even more oil to compensate).

5/ Apply cream

Do it about once a month, and do the peeling and mask twice or once a week (change the type of mask you use if you do it twice a week: like mud and hydrating once, and another time, I don't know, something else)

However, if you have too much acne, peelings are not really good cos it can lake things worse.I have acne, not really badly but i always have at least one pimple and lots of blackheads. what should i use?
Actually, the best is to have it done by a beautician or, even better, a dermatologist. That's what they call a facial, I think. But, it's expensive and my sister says it works. Report Abuse

neutrogena stuff really helps...
use oxy deep pore cleansing cream or my wife also uses that noxzema deep cleansing cream
Clean your face before you go to bed and several times throughout the day.

Wont work? Use pro-active.
See dermatologist for the right medication...don't rub anything on face which you don't know or are not sure what it's for.
You should get a facial and see a dermatologist. Facials are good at getting rid of dead skin and clearing out the pores, a dermatologist can tell you if there is any underlying cause and recommend products for your skin type.
sounds crazy, but does work in most cases- rub a thin layer of preperation-H ointment on your face b4 you go to bed, remedy told to me by a doctor that did work 4 me
It's important to exfoliate. Get into a good skin care routine. Keep your hands off your face and try not to pick at your skin.
okay well i had Really bad acne too. Just don't pop your pimples. theres one thing. i know that its tempting.. but dont and hydrate yourself. excercize helps a lot. wash your face morning and night. and if you want to maybe once or twice in between... have you tried clinique's ance spot treatment?? it works SOOOO much for me.
ProActive
PROACTIV it worked for me!!!!
Hey my name is Megan i have acne too and i use Clearasil and proactive they both work!!!
well i have the same problem and what i use is proactive it helped me a lot and i think it will help you!!!
Actually, the worst thing you can do is wash your face more than twice a day. The sebum glands (natural oil-secreting glands found in everyone's skin) will ';over-compensate'; for the oil you're stripping away with each wash and cause you to break out even more. You need to absorb the oil not attempt to wash it away. The best thing to do is find something with acne fighting medication (salyctic acid works amazingly) that is NON-IRRITATING to your skin. Irritation causes more breakouts. If you find you're oily throughout the day, invest in blotting sheets for your face, but nothing that ADDS substance to the skin. Try to avoid makeup that isn't specially made for oily skin and don't pick at or squeeze the blemishes because the ';infection'; will literally backup into the deeper layers of your skin and crop up a few days later in another spot. Oh, and the obvious stuff: drink lots of water, eat a healthy diet and get at least 20 minutes of exercise everyday. Make sure you see a dermatologist though because I've struggled with it for years and finally found out I just have sensitive skin, not acne-prone skin.
