I have terrible blackheads all on my nose that are stuck. Do you know a method or remedy that can clear them?
I have tried all the commercial products and they do NOT work. I am looking for a great effective way to remove these suckers. Thanks =)

i get them on my nose %26amp; chin, but what helps is if i get in the shower %26amp; turn the water up as hot as i can stand %26amp; run it over my face for a minute or so to open up the pores, exfoliate (i use st. ives apricot scrub for acne prone skin), rinse that off in the hot water %26amp; run the hot water on it again %26amp; then squeeze. i remember i use to go to the dermatologist, but it got too expensive, %26amp; that's what she would do first thing to my whole face is heat up a wash cloth %26amp; lay it on my face %26amp; then squeeze harrrd. if you run the water on it, though, %26amp; then squeeze, they should come out pretty well. %26amp; use an astringent, i like neutrogena clear pores (i think that's what it's called). you could also try getting a bowl of boiling hot water, take a towel, put it over your head, %26amp; lean over the bowl. it works the same. good luck! if you have any other questions, feel free to message me! i use to have acne all through high school, %26amp; now it's cleared up, i do this everytime i see any problem spots coming up!I have terrible blackheads all on my nose that are stuck. Blackheads do not mean your skin is dirty. Wash your face only with plain water and don't place lots of commercial skincare products on it.
Dietary quick changes: Avoid all dairy based products, oils, and refined carbohydrates (white breads, white pastas, etc).
Then eat lots of apples and papaya for breakfast. Do it this way: Eat as many apples as you desire, wait at least 2 hours, then eat papaya, wait at least 3 hours before eating other foods.

If there on your face you can buy blackhead strips or nose strips (since blackheads are mostly on noses) and they work pretty good.
also face cleansers with grains in them or fine sand- The sand is rough (but not to rough) so it gently scratches your skin to remove dead skin and dirt and grime, such as blackheads.

Blackheads can result from several factors such an increase in hormone levels. In males testosterone or androgens. In females, androgens respectively. The increase in androgen levels can stimulate the oil glands to become enlarged and thus more oil production is produced. An increased oil production can clog the pores with oil or sebum ( white thick substance) which cause the cell walls of the pores in the skin to breakdown. This process allows bacteria to form and thus breakouts or blackheads develop.
It is a myth that greasy food or chocolate causes breakouts.
However, using make-up sponges that are not changed or washed often can contaminate the pores with bacteria which may develop into blackheads.
The most important thing is that you need products that are AGE APPROPRIATE! Every age group has different products appropriate for them. If you are young than you need milder products as to not dry out your beautiful young skin.
The problem with commercial skin products is that they are manufactured for MASSES OF PEOPLE and are not specifically made for different peoples' needs.

How can I get rid of blackheads?
My favorite thing for extracting black heads are the biore strips. You wet them, let them dry and then pull them up, all the black heads are stuck to the strip. Before doing this I scrub my face really good and let it dry so there is no oil or other fluids on my face. My 17 year old daughter gets them in her ear and in areas of her face where the skin is very delicate so I use a 12cc syringe(no needle, just the plastic syringe) and I place it on top of the spot and pull it out. They do suck out. After I do this both the biore and the syringe I wash again and put on Clearasil. The best way to do this is once a week. I also do peel off facials. I've been told it pulles the skin which is not good but when you have to get rid of blackheads you can be desperate. A good diet and enough exercise should help them not get too out of control, but all you can really do is take comfort in the fact that blackheads on the nose are extremely common and not nearly as noticeable as you believe. Try keep the squeezing to a minimum, as the redness is worse for how you look than the blackheads themselves - and you run the risk of damaging a pore which will just cause more unsightly problems. If you're going to squeeze, do so with a doubled over tissue and do it GENTLY - the gentler you do it, the quicker the redness goes, and if they don't come out gently then they're not ready to come out anyway. Seriously, in time you'll learn that people don't think anything of them - as just about everyone has them to some extent. Learn to live with them and don't let it get to you :) how you see yourself in the mirror isn't how the rest of the world sees you, and in reality it's no big deal at all.How to get rid of blackheads ?

some of us are more prone to blackheads than others, and this is mainly due to the make-up of our individual skin types. some of us are just lucky in the skin department, others are not. i also get a lot more blackheads (and thus acne) than most of my friends, which is because my skin tends to be oily. generally, blackheads or acne that occurs in the ';T'; zone area (forehead, chin, nose, etc.) are due to the stress, diet and things that are within our control rather than simply genetic reasons. we can't help how our skin is sometimes, but we can prevent blackheads (and them growing into much bigger, troublesome things) by undertaking special care. monthly steam facials (where you go into a salon and they basically allow your pores to breathe and empty out blackheads and dirt), face scrubs, blackhead strips etc. are all useful in preventing blackheads from coming back and becoming a nuisance. if they are causing a real problem and you're simply fed up with them, it's best to see a dermatologist and see what advice they have in mind. good luck!

I have found Biore` strips to work the best of all. Even scrubbing, pinching, and poking around with soap didn't work, but these strips did. Use them right, and they'll be your life saver! :)

What you are talking about is dermabrasion.
Dermabrasion is a drastic way to reduce acne scars and to smoothen away wrinkles. The top layer of skin is sloughed off to reveal younger, softer, smoother skin beneath. First, the surgeon applies a local anaesthetic. Then the surgeon uses an abrading instrument to ';sandpaper'; the skin in circular motions.

Proactiv never worked for me-- and I have realllllllllllly oily skin. When Proactiv started making me break out in a rash, I stopped using it and I turned to Neutrogena's face cleansers (with no acne med. in there) but used the 3-in-1 step acne treatment. My oily skin is not as oily now and I have little to no blackheads. Hope I've helped. :)I have alot of blackheads and my skin is oily does proactiv work for tht too?

Wash your face with a product that doesn't have soap as it usually irritates your skin. I often read here that you should wash your face more than twice a day, but doesn't this irritate your skin?
Anyway. To remove blackheads (I'm too lazy to do it but my sister does it and it really works):
1/ clean your face.
2/ do a peeling.
3/ Then, put your face above a saucepan full of hot water (you're supposed to put some herbs in the water that helps your pores to open but I can't remember which ones. But I'm sure it works without them). Stay like this for about 10 min. with a towel covering your head (so that vapour doesn't get out). Then, with a tissue, press the blackheads out - make sure you have clean hands even if you use a tissue. Change your tissue regularly. It's better to do it in front of a magnifying mirror, or at least, a lot of light.
4/ Then do a mask (if you do a mud mask, do a hydrating mask afterwards cos if you have oily skin, your skin will be even more oily afterwards - because your skin was too dry, your face produces even more oil to compensate).
5/ Apply cream
Do it about once a month, and do the peeling and mask twice or once a week (change the type of mask you use if you do it twice a week: like mud and hydrating once, and another time, I don't know, something else)

Irritation causes more breakouts. If you find you're oily throughout the day, invest in blotting sheets for your face, but nothing that ADDS substance to the skin. Try to avoid makeup that isn't specially made for oily skin and don't pick at or squeeze the blemishes because the ';infection'; will literally backup into the deeper layers of your skin and crop up a few days later in another spot. Oh, and the obvious stuff: drink lots of water, eat a healthy diet and get at least 20 minutes of exercise everyday. Make sure you see a dermatologist though because I've struggled with it for years and finally found out I just have sensitive skin, not acne-prone skin.

Well first off you can go get a facial and have them do extractions to remove them. It is pretty pricey to get a facial these days, but you can always go to a local school around your area (esthetics) and they will charge you very cheap since it is a school and they still will do a good job. Also, you could ask your doctor for some Retin-A microgel (it's about $65.00 without insurance) but it works--basically it peels the top layer of skin off and makes your cells less sticky--it gets worse before it gets better--you might be able to get it cheaper from Canadadrugs.com if insurance doesn't cover it.
Watch out for the Benzoyl Peroxide as it can bleach things you touch or wear that come in contact, so if you have a residue on your hands and then put your hands on a colorful carpet or towel, there will be bleach spots--also your pillow case and clothing. It does work well though.

Black heads are basically a hardened oil mixture that was secreted from your pores and oxidized (which makes the outside part black) and since water and oil don't mix, no water based product can ';clean'; your blackheads away, just try say putting certain foundations or makeups on the mirror and if you wipe it with water it smudges all over but put a little baby oil and wipe and tada! it comes off super clean AND dissolves it. Try natural products from boots, they have a wide range of alternative medicine that wont damage the skin, or Witch hazel is mild enough and does the job, tip, do not squeeze, first they may not be blackheads, just pores and then you will scar your skin, and if you do they're more likely to get infected. i didn't no that my skin was really that reactive but wen i used this black head cleanser it went into a rash! how embarrasing. ever since really i used this clearskin scrub from avon. not 2 expensive either n is really refreshing ... feels like it does sumthing whereas others r like...i cuda jst washed in water it wuda done the same :)

Original Ivory bar soap is the mildest on the market in the US, it's what my doctor recommended for me. Neutrogena and Pears are two good glycerin soaps. My grandmother had perfect skin and she would only use original Cuticura bar soap and Cuticure lotion. Always use Witch Hazel as an astringent/toner. It's mild and natural. You could use an anti-acne spot treatment formulated without acids after the toner.
Firstly, go to the Dr who will either treat it it with tablets or with a steroid cream - don't waste your money on the usual Boots or Superdrug creams+potions, they will exaserbate the problem. If you are gonna buy something, try probducts with charcoal or mud to help with the blackheads

I had same problem is you i had so many pimples in my face which of course i didn't like it and one day i tell my self its enough after i tried so many products like clearasil etc and i decided go to doctor and get professional help, well now after 2years i will never regret any more i went to doctor he give me some drug tablets which not just make face clear but also prevent scaring so now my face clear and beautiful as new hah.
What I'm saying is its really important to get professional help and DO NOT SQUEEZE THEM its just make it horrible which make you regret in the future.
I hope that's helpful information which make you change your mind.

try to steam on your nose. put a cloth on warm water and then put in on your face or nose , where the blackheads exist. after steaming for a while, your pores will be soft and open. then rub the cloths on your skin. you'll see the difference. you can also use scrub after steaming.
Use gram flour, milk and lemon juice for blackheads. Use almond powder and milk and use it on your face. Use cinnamon powder on your blackheads is also helpful.
Use Oatmeal and almond mask to clean your face. mix oatmeal or almond with rose water to make a soft paste. then rub it in circular motion on problem area. then keep for 15 min and rinse off.
